Japanese train systems require prior permission (sometimes with a fee) to do commercial shoots inside the ticket areas of the stations, train interiors and platform areas.

About 70 percent of Japan’s railway network is owned and operated by the Japan Railways Group commonly known as JR group, but other smaller companies also require this permission for any commercial shoots involving the train interiors and their stations.
