Most castles, palaces and manors in Europe that are not in ruins often operate as museums, are privately owned, or managed by a historical society.
Content intended for commercial use that features these locations requires a property release. This includes shots taken on the grounds (including features like gardens, sculptures, gates etc.), shots of the interiors, and imagery where these locations are the main focus. Derelict property, or ruins should be acceptable without release.
Exterior shots may be suitable for editorial use, though consent should be obtained for anything taken within or on the grounds of the property.
Sanssouci, located in Potsdam Germany, is not suitable for any collection.
