Kakadu National Park

Article Tools

Kakadu National Park is a biodiverse nature reserve location in Northern Australia. The park is home to several thousand species of plant and animal life, as well houses historic Aboriginal rock paintings that date back to prehistoric times.

Commonwealth laws restrict the taking of and use of imagery featuring Kakadu National Park. As each commercial use requires clearance to be obtained from the park, the location is not suitable within content offered for commercial use.

Content featuring the location may be offered for editorial use, however access must first be granted and permits may be required.

Please keep in mind that a permit does not constitute a property release; it is merely permission to be there and shoot for that time period.

For the full park policy on the creation of photography, film, and sound recordings, please visit the Australian government’s Department of the Environment and Energy website.
