One of five Hermitage buildings lining the Palace Embankment of the Neva River in St. Petersburg, Russia, this museum was founded by Catherine the Great in 1764. It is one of the largest and oldest museums in the world.

Skyline, vista shots, or images where the museum is not a main focus (or substantial part of the composition) are suitable for commercial use. Interior shots are not acceptable.

Imagery of the museum may be suitable for editorial use.
